Un breve análisis histórico de la legislación de control de armas en EE.UU.

Resumen

Los casos de violencia armada ocurridos en EE.UU. causan tanta conmoción que son tema de conversación incluso fuera de ella, y cada que eso ocurre es inevitable dirigir la mirada hacia uno de los problemas ampliamente señalados por la comunidad internacional; la regulación comercial en una nación tan permisiva respecto a los usos y posesión de armas de fuego. En este artículo se realiza un breve análisis a la legislación en materia de regulación comercial de armas de fuego en EE.UU. Determinando así, mediante una revisión histórica, política y social de las leyes más importantes en dicha materia, como la política de control de armas en EE.UU. es deficiente en muchos sentidos cuando se trata de ejercer una verdadera regulación sobre el comercio de armas, el resultado ha sido la formación de un sistema que limita a las autoridades, que brinda inmunidad a la industria armera, que entorpece las tareas de seguridad y justicia, y que no ha dejado bien parada ni a las víctimas de violencia armada, ni a la sociedad preocupada por dicha problemática.
